When purchaseing pallets, lots or truckloads of apparel be careful. Here are a few problems with loads of apparel.
- Check the condition (new apparel closeouts and overstocks or used customer returns)
- If closeouts and overstocks ckeck what season the lot of apparel is. Usually closeout apparel " is end of season ". September summer apparel will be liquidated.February winter clothing is liquidated.
- Check sizes. Especially with footwear. You do not want a truckload of womans size 12 -16 shoes or mens size 4-7 shoes.
- Check color. The lot of liquidation apparel might be ugly colors that nobody wants.
- Check brand Name. Are you buying Name Brand or Store Brand labels?
- check average cost per piece. For discount stores private labels average cost per piece is $1-$5 per piece averaged over a truckload of apparel. (2000-4000 pieces).
