Two Salvage truckloads from Big Lot’s
liquidation inventory were recently purchased by a friend of mine. I have never bought a truckload of Big Lots surplus liquidation inventory. I was at his warehouse when the truckload of surplus merchandise arrived. There were twenty - one pallets of liquidation items . Their were eight pallets of kitchen ware. The pallets of kitchen ware were in gaylord boxes overflowing. This truckload was customer returns. For customer returns the salvage merchandise was very clean. Seven of the pallets were tools. Mechanics hand tools and cordless tool sets. The last six pallets were domestics mostly bed-in-a-bag. They were medium quality but very clean for customer returns.
He paid $7,250 for the 21 pallet truckload of surplus customer returns. He sold the pallets to foiur different customers for a total of $12,000. I bought two of the pallets of tools.

Is dropshipping best? Should you buy Liquidation inventory from department store. Ebay I think it is best to have your own merchandise. Dropshipping too many people have the same sources.
Liquidation inventories purchased directly from department stores surplus inventory can be purchased as low as 8% of wholesale cost. You know when the item is sold it will be shipped on time. The potential for nice profit margins exists only with liquidation and surplus merchandise. When you own what you sell is a good business model. With dropshipping you are starting out with deception. You are just working for the dropshipper. If their was potential for a large profit with a item the dropshipper would sell the item them selves on ebay. Buy it then sell it

People need to understand this industry. Their is major differences between wholesale goods, surplus goods and salvage goods. You must all ways excersise great caution when purchaseing liquidation merchandise. Their are many many crooks out there ready to take your money. IF YOU THINK YOU WERE CHEATED YOU ARE WRONG. If someone sells you liquidation truckload you must understand it is sold as is. Cash wire transfered in advance is the way this business is conducted. This is because the merchandise is being liquidated. All sales final. This is why you can purchase merchandise for as little as 5% of wholesale cost(not retail).
You are not going to get new iphones or playstation 3,s for5% of wholesale costs. Maybe 80% if they are working. You can purchase certain products at certain times of the year and make a good profit. Double or sometimes triple your money. You must gain experience. Find sources you can trust and learn read and study everything you can find on this industry.

I had a person I met recently who bought a truckload of salvage electronics. The person went on for an hour about nothing works, nothing is complete. I asked him how much did he pay? He said”five percent of wholesale” I was about to call him a stupid whining idiot. But instead i showed him he was going to double his money easily.
He just needs to separate, test and combine the merchandise.(some times it takes 2 or 3 units to make one complete working unit.) When you purchase salvage electronics remember it takes patience and some amount of work to make your profit.

Last week I recieved A surplus liquidation truckload of electronics from wal-mart. This truckload of surplus electronics had sixteen pallets. The merchandise was 80% closeouts and20% returns.I paid 22% of wholesale cost. Some of the return pallets of electronics were trash. The pallets of close-out electronics were in perfect condition.
Though the closeout merchandise was new condition it was outdated. The digital cameras were 5 megapixels. The televisions were discontinued. I still was able to liquidate the truckload of surplus electronics in five days. I made a profit of $12,500 on the load. You need vto use caution when dealing in surplus electronics.
