Dont get me wrong I personally have posted many sources on where to buy but now thinking about it i dont think that it is a good idea for all the members to post were we are getting are stuff.

Yes i believe that we need to help each other and thats a smart thing in this type of business but.
this forum is open to general public and if you want more competion and less profits then keep posting.

I think from now we should email sources between the true liquidator. There are many people that think they know what they are doing I think that they must learn before they buy that way they dont lose money to began with.

When i first started i researched this business for more then 2 years and they finnaly had the guts to buy when i fould about sams and how they are known to have good loads. I bought food items from them and turned around and sold every thing at a fleamarket and what i had left i sold to one lady on craigslist and made 400 profit on a 600dollar investment.

this led me to continue and now i have learned what sells and how much you can sell it for. I believe i have also learned some things that others do wrong. and have learned to use that to my advanged since, where i do my business at traders village i now have 6-7 more people that get there stuff from were i do and i now have to compete against.

This leads me back to topic, we should help each other but make sure you are not hurting yourself make sure that you still benift since you have worked hard to get where you are. There will always be someone that can top you, they might have more money to start off with and can or probably will out smart and beat you in this game.

I have to admit that this thought has crossed my mind a few times. Some of the sources that I see discussed here had taken me quite a while to research and find out. I cannot figure out what the correct way it would be to handle this information, but it definitely should not be so public. At least have people sign up on the forum before they see all this info. Lastly, newbies on here should feel very lucky to get to have all this valuable info in one place. It took people like me years to gather half the information that is on this forum.

Like G said. FOS. If people are willing enough to give out there sources than I guess they are willing to gain some competition. I personally do not give out all my sources other than the obvious large liquidators but I am willing to help people out with certain aspects of the business. I wont discuss detailed info with anyone unless I know they know what they are doing.

We are in this together to help each other out and to advance in our business but when it comes to certain things you gotta look out for #1.

Ya I know that is is easy to find a source like that but there are many other small places that stuff can be bought from that You might not want to let, out. Specially when you have many sellers in your hometown. I dont say its not wrong to help eachother but just know that you are also stabbing your own back. But ya discussing the already known sources wont hurt. Just know what you are doing by giving away your trading secrets.

Let me give you one I know that I dont mind giving www.purplewave.com not many people know about this one but they just started to get bulk loads twice they had kodak cameras in bulk (auction site) they had refurb cameras that are selling on ebay and amazon for 100+ and they sold in bulk on this site for 33-35 a camera this is a must buy and I just gave away a source, So I hope you can use that. Although this is for bigger buyers thats why I dont mind giving away the source but just know that it is not smart to give everything away, give and take must be a two way deal. Expect to pay 12-13K for 360 cameras which is a read good deal since they are 8-10mp cameras

Hope this comes to someones use.

I think on some level, this entire topic has always been on the back of everyone’s mind.  If we can find the source here, so can our competition.  BUT I also think it’s safe to assume that not one of us would be here if there wasn’t some valuable information that was posted in the first place.  There was something we read that caught our eye, which is why we’re all still here.

But there are other things to consider as well.  Not all sources listed will be used by everyone…we’re all here for different reasons.  Personally, I have no interest in electronic sources, so that information is of no use to me whatsoever.  If someone mentions something that may be of interest, I do my homework.

The ideas listed on the forum are great, but the suppliers that are discussed are probably less than 5% of what’s really out there.  Be proactive!  Pick up the phone and make some calls.  Ask questions.  Research.  It’s all part of being a successful business owner.

I got into this business because of one particular company that I always purchased from.  I STILL monitor that company and have been since 2006.  I know their strong points as well as their weaknesses and use that to my advantage.  And yes, I know their suppliers.  And they use the same ones over and over again.

Who you buy from isn’t a trade secret, it’s what you DO with the inventory that will make or break the company.  We ALL have access to the same suppliers.  And just because I am aware of them doesn’t mean I’m going to purchase from them, for a number of reasons: high cost, horrible inventory, excessive freight charges, crappy customer service.

The most important thing is to choose wisely.  Stay with what you know and remain true to the model that you’ve set for your company.  If you sell hard goods, don’t branch out into something else until you’ve perfected what you already know.  When you spread yourself and your company too thin, you lose, regardless of your sources.

Yes our sources are important, don't get me wrong, but not just anyone can do this. I have seen many people hear about this liquidaten stuff and just think I just buy and sell. Well that's not all there is to being successful at this. 99% of the time people that get into this don't make it past the first week at this.It takes a lot of know how and hard work. It takes a skill of knowing when to buy and at what price. Where and HOW to move this. It has to be worked and most people just want some kind of get rich quick deal. So yes the sources are very important and I also believe that we should keep the sight a little more private, but if it was private I wouldn't of found it. Catch 22, I guess. The bottom line is that the sources are not all that is needed for this. You may believe that we are all dummies and if we can do it anyone can but we all have a skill and some smarts for doing this....

To succeed  you must have A WEB PRESANCE

To be a growing liquidation company you will eventually need a growing website with increasing web traffic.

Most contemporary retail business models will fail. Look at the problems of the major retailers.

From this point on I will continue to stress the importance of a website and the importance of having local and global web site traffic.

There is always room at the top.
If you are smart and have a forward thinking attitude about your business you will be successful.
I think this is the same conversation that this country is having about immigrants. Some people are afraid there are too many people here now and the new ones will take our share of the American dream.
Our lady in the harbor says to " give us your poor , give us your huddled masses". This country is a nation of immigrants, people who came here to work hard and find a better life. I think we should let them.
The new people who find there way to this site come for the same reason, to work hard and find a better life. The way we make a strong economy for all of us is when someone gives us a hand so we can climb the ladder of success and we turn around and reach out our hand to help the next brother up the ladder.
I am new to this board but I have spent the last year and a half learning all that I could and am just now at the point of purchasing my first supply of product. I bought it from a source I found on my own. Anyone who comes to this board looking for a free ride will soon fail in business and all of you will still be the ones living the good life. Good luck to all of you and I want you to know how thankful I am for the support I have found here.
