Hello, to all. This is my very first post. I was all set a ready to spend a ton on money on books and list and overpriced product until I found this site. You all have been so helpful in helping me keep my self control. After countless hours of research and getting advice from others, I feel like just running across this site is a milestone in my quest for CD/DVD resells ownership. Thanks a million to every one!!

welcome Planet.. i for one know that ebooks(books) and lists hardly ever worth anything... personally out of the dozens of ebooks/lists i purchased was not worth the 5-25 i spent..eventhough it was a very very small investment - it still wasnt worth it...but who knows, maybe its just my bad luck. goodluck to ya

Welcome Planet to the best place on the web for information like this. My advice to you would be read, read, read. There is alot of really good information on this forum. And even on the site itself. Alot of really friendly people too. Here we all are wanting involvement. Input from all. So please if you have any input or for that matter any questions please feel free to do so. Just watch out for Seanhawg he is a jokster. And he WILL tie ur shoestrings together while you are reading. So just keep an eye on him.

I would like to say thanks to the board members and the others that have helped and offered their advice and experience on the different paths the wholesale and returns industry can lead you. This is a great place to converse and learn the true temperments of the industry and it has taught me some things that would have taken forever to learn on my own. I have been in the business for years now in different aspects and can say what the people say on here is very acurate and educated. I look forward to talking and with everyone and hope everyone the best. I know from my own experience this is not the most honest business and it can be tuff at times to decipher the true possibilities of return on our investments. Its nice to see the better side of the industry when there is so much negativity in the macys liquidation. Thanks Allwood2006 TX

I agree with allwood, most of the regulars are telling you all the good on this business but there is a lot of bad, We are offering great prices but when we sell to customers there are many times that we are not honest due to the items we are buying.
Liquidation, surplus, salvage, they all involve risk since you can get product which have problems
if you sell at a fleamarket you can easily get away with selling goods and it would be impossible for customers to return easily
I test most of my stuff before selling but times there are things that dont work and you must get rid of someway this is where selling in multiple channels is good.
i hated ebay but am starting to get that in my mix as the buyer market is huge even for broken goods. I will soon get into selling at a auction house that is near to get rid of other products which have problems.
Trial and error is the best way to learn in this business these are just tips from other people but best key is to learn yourself. I have good success with getting more working electronics because I have played around in exploring but still there is a lot to explore.
I agree with profits sometimes you make a lot sometimes you make little stop getting attached with prodcuts key is to sell fast and the best way again is thru multiple channels my new #1 selling channel is CRAIGSLIST.
You will be suprised what can be sold on there im selling small things, cake dish, surge protector, many unsually things although I stay firm on prices as that game is not a good thing to do. I just post all my stuff at resonable prices and stay firm.
Anyway dont want to go too much off topic in this post but will discuss more on some of these issues more on other posts.
