Both Microsoft and Sony have dropped their gaming systems buy $100 for new.

Xbox 360's Elites going to sell for $249
They are selling all the Premiums (60 gig drive) and once they all sell out that model will no longer be available.  Making the Elite(120gig) the standard rollout only.

Not sure if it has fully funneled through the liquidation biz but maybe a good time to negotiate a deal for volume of these.

Also to add-in They have new sony ps3 systems in the market now also,

They look like they are slim and they are squared shaped. and 120gb hard drive they are selling for $299.

And I also have heard that they have yet another new psp coming out but not yet relesed.

SO for those of you that purchase these, like a3vending mentioned negociate on the prices.
Most will still be posted on auction sites like liquidation.com at the regualr retail prices but that does not mean you will be able to find a buyer to sell at them prices that you once were able to.

This is going to be one thing you need to watch out since most manifest's will be posting these items at old pricing.

While its true that the new slim systems are going for cheap keep an eye on the older systems.
They may still command a premium on the market.

The main reason is quality.
The new slim PS3 systems are made with lower cost materials and manufacturing processes.
This "may" result in higher failure rates in the future.
I read recently that the slim PS3 is a bit slower for some reason or another.
While that lagtime might only be a second in game load times or due to interior hardware might not be important.

What is important is gamers may prefer the original system and not its cheaply made little brother.
That will means a nice premium in price for you.

We wont know until we start seeing the going price of the 2 systems (used).
They have discontinued the manufacture of the larger PS3 and once they are sold out in stores they are gone for good.

Then again, there may not be any difference at all and ppl will go with what's cheaper.
The PS1 and the PS1 slim is one example of that.  PS2 and PS2 slimline too.
But the difference is that the slim PS1 and PS2 was introduces about 5 years after their original hit the scene.
The ps3 slim hit the market in half the time.  So the price of the original (and perceived worth) is still pretty high.
